Almond Bark Popcorn

This is the final thing I made for our Super Bowl Party. (well I also made these homemade oreos which are SO good). This sweet & salty snack will have everyone asking, "What is that?" It looks like packing peanuts, but it is almond bark popcorn. Our friend Ric introduced this to our family at our annual Christmas Caroling party. But be warned...it. is. addictive. If you can't handle eating large amounts of this, don't even take one bite. I promise you will go back to the bowl time after time after time. It's that good-I promise. It is maybe the easiest snack ever too. Just buy a bag of puffed corn at the grocery (pictured below). It should be in the chip aisle. Then melt 9 squares of almond bark and pour over. Stir, let set and you are done. So simple, yet so heavenly. My mom and brother call this Manna, because they say it's like the manna from heaven.

Almond Bark Popcorn
Ingredients:
1 bag puffed corn
9 squares almond bark (about 3/4 of a package)

Directions:
Pour puffed corn into a large bowl. Melt almond bark in thirty second intervals in the microwave until melted. Pour almond bark over the puffed corn. Stir to coat. Pour out onto baking sheet or waxed paper. Let set. Break apart if necessary and store in an airtight container.

  1. Ooh - I haven't seen that product out yet around me (then again, I avoid the snack aisle all together!) :)
