Amy's Bread NYC

So sorry for my lapse in posting! I was blessed to get to visit New York this weekend with some wonderful friends and had a great, but exhausting time! I love New York and I will take any chance I get to go to the food capital of the world! We mostly ate at places that we had been before, like John's Pizza, Sarabeth's, & the Shake Shack (you can read about these here), but one place I hadn't been before was Amy's Bread. They had a cute little spot right around the corner from our hotel and we stopped there for a quick breakfast before we ventured out the last day of our trip. It was so cozy and cute in there!

I had a challah cinnamon knot and a chocoholic twist. The cinnamon knot was so soft and pillowy and had the perfect amount of sweetness, not too overpowering. The chocoholic twist reminded me of chocolate chip pancakes, rich and fluffy and decadent. I topped it off with a hot apple cider that warmed me from the inside out.

Oh & I can't leave New York without having a Crumbs cupcake!! The cookie dough one on the left was mine and words can not describe it's goodness!! Adam had the raspberry swirl on the right which he said was divine as well.

Disclaimer: I am not being paid for this review in any way, I went on this trip & to Amy's & Crumbs on my own accord and was not compensated in any way.

  1. mmm yummy! LOOOVE bread! I also really love your blog and all the recipes you've got.

I've already made 2 batches of the mock chilis salsa and plan to try out your smore's cookies! I had such a disaster with smore's cupcakes I made once..i must have missed something because the bottoms came out UNCOOKED..even after being in there longer than expected..frustrating!

but anxious to try yours..love this blog!

  2. I have The Sweeter Side of Amy's Bread cookbook, and I LOVE it!! I'm not much of a baker, and I've never been to NY, so I'm happy to see pictures of what Amy's Bread looks like!

  4. So...you headed to NYC again! FUN! We'll be making frequent trips now that Josh and Meggie live in Brooklyn...and both work in the city. Not to mention that they are expecting their first baby on June 7th. I'll be keeping my eye on all the flight deals for sure!! Sounds like you had a great time...again!
