Adam surprised me for my birthday with an overnight trip to Atlanta. He took me to eat at Flip Burger Boutique which is owned by none other than Richard Blais of Top Chef Fame! We got to experience his molecular gastronomy in full force with the liquid nitrogen milkshakes and swiss cheese foam on my burger!!
The atmosphere was super cute as the booths were a mirror image "flipped" on top of each other. They also think outside the box with the menu offering a burger topped with foie gras and truffle aioli as well as lamb burger and a shrimp burger among other inventive menu items.
We started with bbq sweet potato tots served with ranch for dipping. They were spicy but so delicious and fun!
I had the mushroom and swiss burger which had a deep savory and meaty flavor. The swiss cheese foam was so unique and added such flavor and playfulness to the burger.
Adam had the bacon cheeseburger which was awesome! It had a great Flip sauce on it that really made it sing and it was so juicy.
The real star of the meal was the milkshakes! Adam couldn't stop raving about his Krispy Kreme shake that came out steaming from the liquid nitrogen and I was completely enamored with my toasted marshmallow & nutella shake.
